Dedham Medical Associates in Norwood has been caring for residents of Dedham, Needham, Westwood, West Roxbury and other nearby towns and cities since 1937.  Dedham Medical Associates is conveniently located at two locations:   One Lyons Street in Dedham, directly off Rte. 135, and 1177 Providence Highway (Route 1 South) in Norwood. 

Our preferred hospital partners include BID-Needham, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Boston Children's Hospital, BWH Faulkner and New England Baptist Hospital.  Our OB/Gyn clinicians attend deliveries at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

The Norwood office offers primary care for adults and children and a wide range of medical and surgical specialty care. Also located in our Norwood building, is Dedham Medical Urgent Care Center Affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a walk-in urgent care center which is open to patients and the public to treat non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries.

* The information above indicates the hours during which patients are seen in each department. Department phones are answered directly from 8:00am until 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, after which calls are transferred to our central, after-hours medical advice staff.

24/7 Medical Advice

Medical advice is available to patients by telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you need medical advice after office hours, please call your doctor's office (unless it is a life-threatening emergency, in which case you should call 911). Your call will automatically be routed to our after-hours triage service staffed by nurse practitioners and physician assistants with access to your electronic medical record. After Hours Care for DMA Patients: Evenings and Weekends By Appointment

For patients with a Dedham Medical primary care physician, DMA After Hours offers same day care for urgent needs on evenings and weekends by appointment at our Dedham location. Call 781-329-1400 to schedule an After Hours appointment.

Saturday 9:00am – 5:00pm
Sunday 9:00am – 1:00pm
Adult After Hours
Weeknights 5:30pm – 9:30pm
Saturday 9:30am – 3:00pm
Sunday 9:30am – 2:00pm

(DMA After Hours is not available on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. All other holidays where the offices of Dedham Medical Associates are closed but the Urgent Care Center is open, the Urgent Care Center hours of operation will be 8:00am - 6:00pm.)

Urgent Care – Open to All: Same Day Walk-in Care

Dedham Medical Urgent Care Center Affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, located in our Norwood location, provides walk-in care for non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries and is open to all Atrius Health patients and the public.

Unless it is a life-threatening emergency (in which case you should call 911), you can use our urgent care services noted above for most health-related situations.
