The Dedham Medical Associates Dedham practice has been caring for residents of Dedham, Needham, Westwood, West Roxbury and other nearby towns and cities since 1937.  Dedham Medical Associates is conveniently located at two locations:   One Lyons Street in Dedham, directly off Rte. 135, and 1177 Providence Highway (Route 1 South) in Norwood. 

Our preferred hospital partners include BID-Needham, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Boston Children's Hospital, BWH-Faulkner and New England Baptist Hospital. Our OB/Gyn clinicians attend deliveries at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

The Dedham location provides primary care for adults and children as well as a wide range of medical and surgical specialty care, including a multi-disciplinary Musculoskeletal Center which combines hand surgery, interventional pain, orthopedics, physiatry, physical therapy, podiatry, rheumatology and sports medicine. The center provides a team-based approach to the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect muscles, bones, joints and soft tissue and provides the full range of surgical and non-surgical musculoskeletal services.

Our building is open from 8:00am – 6:00pm during the week. Department hours can vary, so please refer to the department times below or call a specialty department listed in the right-hand menu.

* The information above indicates the hours during which patients are seen in each department. Department phones are answered directly from 8:00am until 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, after which calls are transferred to our central, after-hours medical advice staff.

24/7 Medical Advice

Medical advice is available to patients by telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you need medical advice after office hours, please call your doctor's office (unless it is a life-threatening emergency, in which case you should call 911). Your call will automatically be routed to our after-hours triage service staffed by nurse practitioners and physician assistants with access to your electronic medical record. Urgent Care – Open to All: Same Day Walk-in Care

Dedham Medical Urgent Care Center Affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, located in our Norwood location, provides walk-in care for non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries and is open to all Atrius Health patients and the public.

Unless it is a life-threatening emergency (in which case you should call 911), you can use our urgent care services noted above for most health-related situations.
