Behavioral Health Insurance Plans
Sometimes coverage for behavioral health benefits is carved out by a medical insurance plan or an employer to a separate Behavioral Health Carve-Out. You can find out if your behavioral health coverage is carved out by calling your medical health insurance plan using the toll free number found on the back of your member ID card. You can also ask your employer’s Human Resources Department.
If your coverage does NOT include a separate Behavioral Health Carve-Out, you can consult the information found in the Commercial Health Insurance Plans, Medicare Plans, or MassHealth Plans section to learn about coverage for behavioral health care.
This is a Behavioral Health Carve-Out used by Unicare GIC and some self-insured employers. Starting January 1, 2019, AllWays Health Partners (formerly Neighborhood Health Plan) will no longer use Beacon Health Options.
Please note: We do not accept Beacon Health Options for Fallon Health Plan.
Optum Behavioral Health (formerly known as United Behavioral Health)
This is a Behavioral Health Carve-Out used by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, United Health Care, and self-insured employers, and, starting January 1, 2019, AllWays Health Partners (formerly Neighborhood Health Plan).
