Atrius Health is delighted to announce that we have received two notable awards from the American Heart Association (AHA) and the American Medical Association (AMA). These outpatient program achievement awards recognize our commitment to reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke by improving type 2 diabetes and blood pressure management.

Nearly half of all adults in the U.S. have some form of cardiovascular disease, including heart attack, stroke, or heart failure. Type 2 diabetes and uncontrolled high blood pressure are leading risk factors for cardiovascular disease, but with timely diagnosis, research-based treatment, and education, these conditions can be managed.

Each of our adult primary care practices received Gold+ level recognition from the AHA and AMA as part of the 2025 Target BP™ Recognition Program for our commitment to helping improve blood pressure control rates among our patients. Gold+ level recognition indicates we achieved a 70% or greater blood pressure control rate among our adult patients with high blood pressure and practice at least 4 of 6 evidence-based criteria for blood pressure management. The initiative aims to support improving blood pressure control rates through the use of evidence-based protocols, tools, and resources, and recognizes organizations that prioritize hypertension control.

All Atrius Health adult primary care practices also received Gold level recognition from the AHA as part of the 2025 Target: Type 2 Diabetes™ Program for achieving HbA1c control in 75% or more of our adult patients with diabetes and 70% or greater blood pressure control.
