Biography
Dr. Omar Mohamed is a fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon. During residency at the Mayo Clinic, he was the administrative chief resident and was nominated by his mentors for Mayo's prestigious Instructor of Surgery. He pursued advanced fellowship training in hand surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
An active member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Council of Educators in Plastic Surgery, his clinical interests include complex upper extremity trauma and microsurgical reconstruction. Dr. Mohamed has also been involved in global outreach, including a cleft lip and palate surgical mission in Acapulco, Mexico.
