Getting Started

IM2Your first step to becoming a patient at Atrius Health is to find a primary care provider who is welcoming new patients. Once you have selected a provider, please call our Central Patient Registration team at 1-800-249-1767. One of our staff will register you or your family member as a patient of your selected provider, confirm that we accept your health insurance plan, and assist you in scheduling your first appointment.

Please use the links at the left to learn more about transferring your medical records to Atrius Health or to download and fill out helpful forms that you should bring to your first visit with us.

Becoming a New Patient at Atrius Health

We are thrilled you are interested in joining our practice as a patient. Follow these easy steps:

  • Step 1: Choose a practice location
  • Step 2: Choose a primary care provider (PCP) or specialist
  • Step 3: Register as a new patient
  • Step 4: Schedule an appointment

Step 1: Choose a practice location

Atrius Health has many locations in Boston and surrounding communities - choose the location that is most convenient for you.

Step 2: Choose a primary care provider (PCP) or specialist

Most of our practices have adult and pediatric primary care providers. Choose from a complete list of providers welcoming new patients. Click on each provider's name to learn more about their medical education, board certifications, clinical and personal interests and more. Several PCPs have short video profiles you can view to learn more about that provider. You can also search for a specialist. If you prefer, you can also call the practice site/department directly with any questions or additional information needs.

Step 3: Register as a new patient

Now that you have a practice location and provider in mind, please call our Central Registration department to complete the new patient registration process. Be sure to have your insurance information ready when you call.
