Atrius Health Names Dr. Vandhana Sharda as Chief of Optometry

Vandhana ShardaNewton, MA  (June 21, 2016) - Atrius Health is pleased to announce that Dr. Vandhana Sharda has been named as the organization’s Chief of Optometry. Dr. Sharda has worked at Atrius Health since 2013 when she joined its Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates practice as Chief of Optometry. As Chief, Dr. Sharda will lead the organization’s Optometry department, which evaluates visual function and diagnoses and treats eye diseases. Optometrists in the department prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medicine to treat eye diseases.

Dr. Sharda practices at Harvard Vanguard’s Boston Kenmore office. Dr. Sharda graduated from New England College of Optometry in Boston and completed her residency at Dimock Community Health Center in Boston. Dr. Sharda received her master's degree in vision science for research on temporal integration characteristics of induced myopia in baby chicks. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Sharda resides in Brighton, MA.
