Our education leadership and administrative teams coordinate the teaching activities around students, residents and fellows, for all of our services lines, as well as continuing education programming for Atrius Health clinicians.
Our Center Director is Jonathan Harland, MD, a psychiatrist at our Harvard Vanguard Burlington practice. Dr. Harland also serves as the Atrius Health Site Director for the Mind, Brain and Behavior course at Harvard Medical School. He leads the conceptualization and implementation of multiple courses, rotations, lectures and webinars, all of which fosters our academic mission. Dr. Harland works to ensure our Center supports Atrius Health’s primary care foundation, team-based treatment philosophy, thoughtful external partnerships, innovative technology, and an underlying dedication to a positive experience for our patients. His role is supported by our education leadership team and administrative support staff.
Our Associate Director of Medical Education is Amy N. Ship, MA, MD, FACP, an internist at our Kenmore practice, and Program Director of our jointly sponsored Residency Program in Primary Care and Population Medicine with the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute.
Our Assistant Director of Medical Education is Karen D. Wood, MD, an internist at our Copley practice. Dr. Wood has worked to expand and enhance our medical student programs with Tufts University School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School, and has served as the Associate Clerkship Director for the Primary Care Clerkship for Atrius Health at Harvard Medical School since 2009.
