Getting a Vaccine at Atrius Health

Atrius Health is pleased to offer our patients a few options to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, either first, second or third (for patients who are immunocompromised) doses of the primary vaccine series, as well as booster doses.

MODERNA VACCINE FOR CHILDREN 6 MONTHS THROUGH 5 YEARS OF AGE

As of June 18, 2022, the CDC expanded eligibility and now recommends that children 6 months of age and older can receive a COVID-19 vaccine to better protect them from COVID-19.

Atrius Health is pleased to announce that we will begin vaccination of our patients ages 6 months through 5 years on June 28, 2022. We will be offering the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, which is a 2-dose series given 28 days apart. Starting June 23, 2022, parents and caregivers of patients ages 6 months through 5 years will be notified via their MyHealth Online account that they can begin scheduling COVID-19 vaccine appointments for their children.

Appointment times will be available Tuesday through Friday from 10:00am – 12:00pm each day. Vaccinations will be given at our pediatric practice locations; any patient who is 6 months through 5 years of age and receives care with either an Atrius Health pediatrician or a family medicine clinician can receive a vaccination at any location of their choosing. Additionally, COVID-19 vaccination will be offered to patients at a routine appointment if they have one scheduled in pediatrics or family medicine.

PFIZER COVID-19 VACCINE AVAILABLE AT YOUR PCP’S OFFICE FOR PATIENTS 5 YEARS AND OLDER

As of May 19, 2022, the CDC expanded their booster eligibility to recommend that children ages 5 through 11 years should receive a booster shot 5 months after the completion of their primary Pfizer-BioNTech vaccination series. Atrius Health recommends COVID-19 vaccination for all eligible patients as protection against COVID-19, and we are pleased to be able to offer the Pfizer COVID-19 booster vaccine to our pediatric patients ages 5 and up.

Patients 5 years of age and older can receive a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination (first, second and third dose if immunocompromised as well as booster doses) either by requesting one at the time of a routine care appointment or by calling your primary care provider’s office to schedule a vaccine appointment. Patients can also book a vaccination appointment via their MyHealth Online account.
