Harvard Vanguard Health Services for Boston Conservatory Students

BostonConservatoryLogoAs of August 24, 2012, Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in Kenmore will provide medical care to students enrolled at the Boston Conservatory.  Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates is a non-profit, multi-specialty medical group practice providing care to more than 510,000 adult and pediatric patients at more than 20 offices across eastern massachusetts.  They have 4,300 employees, including more than 630 physicians and 1,000 other healthcare professionals and are committed to making it easier for their patients to be and stay healthy.

This new partnership with Harvard Vanguard was established to provide access for Boston Conservatory students to a more comprehensive range of medical services, offered by a multi-specialty physician group renowned for the quality of their care and affiliations with leading Boston hospitals.

Harvard Vanguard's Kenmore practice is just a 10 minute walk from the Boston Conservatory campus, located at 133 Brookline Avenue.  See a map and directions below. 

Harvard Vanguard Primary Care Medical Services

Harvard Vanguard offers a broad range of primary care medical services.  Many of these services are provided to Boston Conservatory students with no copayment.  These include: basic physical exams, management of acute and chronic illness (e.g., asthma), diagnosis and treatment of STD's and gynecological services.

Harvard Vanguard also offers a broad range of specialty and diagnostic services including visual services and eye glasses, mental health services, medical and surgical equipment and diagnostic services, (e.g., MRI, CT, and X-rays).  Please note that your insurance company will be billed for all services.  If you access services that are not covered by your insurance plan, you will be responsible for the cost of those services.

Student Enrollment and Scheduling an Appointment

Students will need to register as a Harvard Vanguard patient by calling 800-249-1767.  Once that is completed, students can call 617-421-1196 to schedule an appointment, or for medical advice and information 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Holidays 10 a.m. or 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Students should call 800-249-1767 to register as a Harvard Vanguard patient.
Once registered, appointments can be made by calling 617-421-1196.


Students can use either the Brookline Avenue or Fullerton Street entrance, and proceed to the check-in/registration desk on the 4th floor.  Please identify yourself as a Boston Conservatory student when using Harvard Vanguard services.  You must present your validated Boston Conservatory photo ID when you arrive for your appointment to access services with no copayment.

In the case of a life-threatening emergency, Boston Conservatory students should call 911.

Directions

From the Boston Conservatory campus, follow Boylston Street away from the campus, walking toward 1260 Boylston Street/Fenway Park/the Landmark Center.  Turn right on Kilmarnock Street, then turn right on Brookline Avenue.  Harvard Vanguard is ahead on your left, at the corner of Brookline Avenue and Fullerton Street.
