Each and every day within our organization, care teams are developing new tools and techniques to help our patients live the life they want.
To increase our ability to make transformative improvement and to accelerate the pace of change in our organization, we have invested in a newly-formed Innovation Center. At the center, we believe that by developing a deep understanding of the needs of our patients, we can develop new ways of working that improve the experience of care and promote wellness. We know that in addition to being safe and effective, care should be personalized to fit the individual needs of our patients.
Early projects at the Innovation Center have already begun to transform how we practice, improving patients’ access to care and their overall care experience.
- Our teledermatology initiative allows patients to transmit information about and a photograph of a skin condition to a dermatologist directly from their primary care physician’s office, with a response time of under 72 hours.
- A mobile-integrated health project has given seniors who are homebound the opportunity to have medical evaluations performed in their homes, preventing needless trips to the hospital for conditions that were able to be treated at home.
We aim to discover and develop the best ideas that offer the potential to better deliver the right care, at the right time, and in a way that is the most accessible for our patients.
