Dr. Lindsey serves on the Advisory Committee to the Massachusetts Health Care Quality and Cost Council.
Dr. Lindsey received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of South Carolina. He completed an internship, residency, and was a clinical fellow in cardiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Lindsey is a sought-after speaker on the healthcare topics of payment reform, accountable care organizations, practice innovation, quality and efficiency.
Andrew Dreyfus
President and CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts
Andrew Dreyfus is president and chief executive officer for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, the largest private health plan in Massachusetts and one of the largest independent, not-for-profit Blue Cross Blue Shield plans in the country. Founded by a group of civic leaders in 1937, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts now provides coverage to nearly 3 million members. Consistently recognized for standards of service excellence that are among the highest in the nation, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is the choice for health care consumers seeking reliable and high-quality health care coverage.
Prior to being named CEO in September 2010, Andrew served as executive vice president of Health Care Services for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, where he was responsible for the company's health and wellness, performance measurement and improvement, and provider contracting divisions. He also led the company's collaborative efforts to improve the quality and safety of health care in Massachusetts. Andrew previously served as the first president of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation, which works to expand access to health care for Massachusetts residents. During his tenure, the Foundation awarded nearly $17 million in grants to community organizations and launched a series of policy initiatives, including the "Roadmap to Coverage", which contributed to the successful passage of the state's landmark 2006 health care reform law.
Andrew's previous professional experience includes serving as executive vice president of the Massachusetts Hospital Association (MHA) where he led the development of nationally recognized initiatives to expand access to coverage, and improve quality and patient safety.
